Award Entries & Shortlists

The Yorkshires. Commercial Real Estate Awards raises a glass to the incredible living spaces that are created & renovated throughout Yorkshire. The event gives the Yorkshire property family a chance to get together, enjoy each other’s company, feel inspired (and maybe a little envious), whilst raising vital funds for children living at a disadvantage across the region.

The 2024 call for entries will open in November 2023!

From new co-working space to re-housing national headquarters, we are looking for the office deal that everyone else wishes they’d done.

Entries for this award will derive from property teams that have completed a noteworthy office property deal during the period 01/03/202328/02/2024. This could be regarding a letting, sale, lease re-gear or acquisition.

Judges will be awarding an office deal that has made consequential impact on the Yorkshire property landscape. This could be allied to expertise in securing the deal, innovation in the structure of the transaction, or the economic and perceptual impact it will have in years to come. Judges will use their wide breadth of knowledge on the property sector to evaluate the performance of participants but are looking to reward the wider team involved in the transaction.

Therefore, please ensure that all participants efforts are included in your submission.

We might lovingly call them ‘sheds’, but they’re far from the small shacks at the end of our gardens. This award will be going to a true giant of industry.

This section is open to any business working in the Yorkshire commercial property sector. They must be able to exhibit a project or initiative that has raised the bar regarding its sustainability or positive environmental impact during the period 01/03/2023 – 28/02/2024. Specifically, the judges will be eager to see projects which show an innovative approach to any or all areas of ESG.

The commercial development market always hosts inspiring architecture, but this year we are looking for a truly extraordinary endeavor that’s undeniably excellent.

This category is inviting any company involved in the delivery of construction projects; from design through to physical build, a company who denote innovation in procurement or delivery of a building or project during the period 01/03/2023 – 28/02/2024. Or, alternatively, a company which operates in this sector and demonstrates their ability to think outside the box in their management of projects or operating procedures, which has a positive impact on the working environment.

Every now and then there’s a development or project that moves the market for everyone; these are the Yorkshire Disrupters. The winner will really be making waves.

Introduced to unveil the crème de la crème of property achievements in Yorkshire, the Disruptor Awards will analyse projects or deals that have had a material effect on the surrounding environment or market during the period 01/03/2023 – 28/02/2024. They must be widely recognised in the property sector as praiseworthy and show exceptional skill in conception, design, and execution.

Hard work and innovation are always inspiring, but even more so when it’s seen in a relative newcomer. Be warned: competition will be stiff.

This category aims to reward the industry’s most promising star, working within commercial property in Yorkshire. Applicants can be traditionally trained or not come from a property background at all, as long as they are making an impact on the industry right now.

Open to those under the age of 35 or those who have joined the industry within the past 10 years. Submissions should detail how the nominee has demonstrated practice exceeding expectations, highlight significant achievements that make them shine, and demonstrate the individuals’ potential to contribute to the industry in the future. This entry can be a nomination from someone else or by the individual themselves.
