Yorkshire Children’s Charity is thrilled to announce the launch of its partnership with Julius Baer International, the UK entity of the leading Swiss wealth management group Julius Baer.
This new partnership is testament to the firm’s purpose of creating value beyond wealth, and its wish to create positive impact in the regions where it operates.
Founded in January 2022, Yorkshire Children’s Charity’s mission is to transform the childhoods of disadvantaged children across Yorkshire; aspiring to eliminate barriers so that no child or young person is left behind due to ill health, disability, or financial circumstance.
Having developed a fast and effective route to provide support, the Yorkshire Children’s Charity team offers an innovative approach for people in need that is dramatically altering the fundraising landscape.
Having opened an office in Leeds in 2017, Julius Baer International is keen to continue developing localised support and engagement in the community via this regional office and support Yorkshire Children’s Charity in its endeavours to remove barriers and provide essential support for children and young people across Yorkshire.
Julius Baer’s flagship event in partnership with Yorkshire Children’s Charity is Sports Day. Taking place last week at Allerton Park, the day gave around 300 young people, including inner city primary-aged children, the chance to spend a day in beautiful countryside, enjoying varied activities as well as a BBQ.
Charles Hague, Head of Yorkshire & North East, Julius Baer International Ltd comments:
“After first meeting Yorkshire Children’s Charity, it was clear not only how passionate Charlotte and the team are about reaching children in Yorkshire who need their help, but also how closely the charity aligns with our own values.
Care is central to both our organisations, and the charity’s mission to help thousands of disadvantaged children in the region resonates with the intentions of our parent company’s charitable foundation, which focuses on tackling wealth and education inequality across the globe.”
Yorkshire Children’s Charity stands to benefit from numerous fundraising activities that Julius Baer International is keen to champion. Through this work, they intend to make a positive impact in the region where they will grow their presence in the coming years.
Charles Hague, Head of Yorkshire & North East, Julius Baer International Ltd continues:
“We hope our support will only boost the amazing work the charity is already doing to help families in the region. Our employees and clients who travelled from across the UK to volunteer at the Sports Day found it incredibly rewarding and we look forward to continuing to spread the word about all the incredible work YCC does to give young people in Yorkshire a fair chance.”
Charlotte Farrington, CEO, Yorkshire Children’s Charity comments:
“None of us could have imagined that we could be one of Julius Baer International’s chosen charities for 2024 – we are absolutely delighted to be the first regional charity partnership.
Sports Day was a fantastic chance for young people to get involved in sporting activities, make new friends and enjoy a day out in the countryside. We could not be more thankful to Julius Baer International for their support, and we look forward to seeing a brighter future for the children of Yorkshire via this partnership.”
