The Yorkshires. Residential Awards celebrate all things excellent in the Yorkshire residential property sector including the opportunity to network with 700 peers.

Yorkshires. Rising Star

This category aims to reward the industryā€™s most promising new talent working within residential property in Yorkshire. Entrants can be traditionally trained or come from a non-property background, so long as theyā€™re making an impact on the industry right now.

Age is no barrier, so long as they are new to the industry (within the past 10 years) and are exceeding expectations in forging a new career for themselves. Submissions should describe how the nominated ā€˜starā€™ has demonstrated practice above and beyond expectations, emphasise key achievements that make them stand out from the rest, and demonstrate their potential to contribute to the industry in the future. The entry can be made by the individual or a nomination by someone else.

Open to all developments of 25+ homes; new builds, conversions; for sale or let, in any setting, style or location within Yorkshire. This category encompasses large scale schemes such as a new district or neighbourhood, or compact apartment developments. Judges will be interested in evidence of how the development positively impacts the surrounding area, benefits those who live there and shows innovation in its design and execution.

Judges will also make note of excellence and innovation in deal-making. Entries must be out of the ground, with at least 1 unit having been completed between the period June 2023 and June 2024. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.

Open to all developments of 25 homes or less; new builds, conversions; for sale or let, in any setting, style or location within Yorkshire. Judges will be interested to see clear evidence of how the development fits with the local environment, creates a sense of place and allows residents to feel part of a community in addition to showing excellence and/or innovation in its design and execution. Judges will also be interested in excellence and innovation in deal-making. Entries must be out of the ground, with at least 1 unit having been completed between the period June 2023 and June 2024. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.

Open to anyone operating within the Yorkshire residential property sector that can showcase a project, initiative, scheme, or strategy that has raised the ā€˜ESG barā€™, be that a focus on climate, a commitment to health and wellbeing as well as the environment or undertaking a social impact project/initiative that has a measurable positive impact on the community. Entries for this award must have been implemented between June 2023 and June 2024.

Open to consultancy practices (architects, planners, engineers, advisors etc.) that have consistently demonstrated excellence in delivery first-rate services (design, planning and/or development land, etc.) between June 2023 and June 2024. Judges will be looking for practices that can show unparalleled market knowledge and consistent superiority in its field, with an emphasis on successful problem-solving and value delivery to clients and communities in addition to those that have adopted a successful and sustainable delivery to their day-to-day operations and/or projects. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.

Open to residential developers of all sizes and typologies operating in the Yorkshire region that can evidence excellence in customer service, business performance, innovation, practice and design between June 2023 and June 2024. Additional considerations could include impressive levels of community engagement and dedication to sustainability for both projects and business practices. Judges want to hear from developers that have raised the bar architecturally or developed a scheme that has helped regenerate an area. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.

Designed to celebrate the crĆØme de la crĆØme in BTR and PRS across Yorkshire. This could be a BTR or PRS deal that stands out as being the best of the best, regardless of its size, or one that demonstrates excellence and innovation in its deal-making. Whatever it is, judges must see evidence of how it has added value to the sector and shows exceptional skill in conception, design, and execution. Entries must be practically complete between June 2023 and June 2024. An applicationā€™s demonstration of outstanding ESG will also be considered.

This award will recognise residential buying/letting/advising/estate agencies, with 50 or fewer employees, which have demonstrated an outstanding buying, letting or sales record supported by unrivalled service and market research, between June 2023 and June 2024. Judges will be looking for evidenced market knowledge, customer service and innovation ā€“ be sure to reference any specific successes. Please provide client testimonials where possible. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.

This award recognises residential buying/letting/advisors/estate agencies with more than 50 employees, which have demonstrated an outstanding buying, letting or sales record, supported by unrivalled service and market research, between June 2023 and June 2024. Judges will be looking for proven market knowledge, customer service and innovation ā€“ be sure to reference any specific successes. Please provide client testimonials where possible. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.

Open to all housing providers/operators in the region, to include landlords, Registered Providers, Local Authorities, later living and care providers, this category is looking to recognise outstanding accomplishments achieved between June 2023 and June 2024. Judges will be looking for evidence of an effective/innovative property management approach, tenant retention rates, financial performance, and for those in the later living sector, how you have integrated smart design principles to meet the evolving requirements of aging individuals. Judges will make note of innovation and excellence in deal-making. Judges will give extra credit to those that can demonstrate an outstanding approach to ESG.
